Friends of the Elephant Seals
This popular spot to observe elephant seals has a boardwalk & viewing areas. Elephant seals: They're huge, loud and so ugly, they're cute. And each year, they gather on California's Central Coast for mating, birthing and molting seasons. Visitors to San Simeon can catch elephant seals there year-round, but the population grows at certain times of the year as the seals go through different phases in their life cycle.
